In August 2006 I travelled to Calgary and the Okanagan to visit with cousins I had not seen for 17 years and younger offspring I had never met, right down to a fourth generation. I first headed to Calgary and area, then a couple of days later followed my second cousin, Vic, and his family to their vacation property at Mara Lake near Sicamous, where I enjoyed their hospitality for almost two weeks (minus time I spent exploring the delightful roads of south-central B.C.). With other cousins and lots of in-laws living in the Okanagan or visiting during my stay, we were at times a large extended family group. Though I neglected to include a few in my photographic record, this gallery contains portraits of most of my cousins with whom I spent time as well as activity shots which I hope capture some sense of family fun times, the likes of which I largely had been missing since my youth. See also Fireworks on Hummingbird Creek and, for location shots from my tour, Places.
